Skidmore Contemporary Art may be the newest gallery on El Paseo in Palm Desert, but since 1998 this art lovers’ favorite was first located in Malibu CA, and later in Santa Monica’s Bergamot Station until 2023.
Known for focusing on contemporary California realist and photorealist painters, Lia Skidmore is “delighted to have a gallery program that is as organic and creative as the artists themselves.” Rather than a pervasive visual style, what distinguishes the art at Skidmore Contemporary is a hip sense of beauty and fresh optimism. Skidmore Contemporary Art is open for viewing daily at 73130 El Paseo, Suite K – between Sage Lane and Ocotillo Drive – in Palm Desert CA. Parking is ample.
