Wondering where to find that happy, warm holiday glow this season? Join the City of Palm Desert on December 4 when we host Light Up El Paseo, an event geared to bring the community together in a safe and socially distanced manner to share an evening of simple pleasures and holiday spirit. Modeled in part on the successful Halloween Cruise Night on El Paseo, this event offers a much-needed dose of holiday magic, complete with festive lights, a dozen or more holiday-themed inflatables, and sparkling store window displays.

The evening begins with brief opening remarks by Palm Desert Mayor Gina Nestande at the corner of El Paseo and Ocotillo, who then does the honors and flips the ceremonial switch to light up El Paseo’s twinkling light display. Following that, you’re encouraged to take in the sights as you shop, stroll or dine on El Paseo with your family at this “one night only” event.
